Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
To be eligible for this social service role in Meghalaya, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any field, though candidates with a degree preferably in Social Work will be given preference.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in need of care and protection is preferred.

Job Description & Core Responsibilities
The selected Case Worker will work closely with child survivors of sexual abuse and their families, ensuring they receive comprehensive assistance and access to social services. The primary responsibilities include:
Investigation & Reporting: Conducting home investigation reports and social investigation reports for young clients.
Legal & Court Support: Acting as an official "Support Person" assigned by the government and legal authorities, attending Court hearings/trials with clients, and explaining court and legal procedures to survivors.
Liaison with Authorities: Building strong relationships with the District Child Protection Units (DCPU), Child Welfare Committees (CWC), District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), local police, and public prosecutors.
CWC Collaboration: Reporting directly to the Child Welfare Committee on assigned cases and attending CWC sittings alongside clients.
Care Planning: Conducting screenings and assessments to develop individualized treatment and aftercare plans in partnership with the organization's counsellor.
Documentation: Managing report writing, documentation, and compiling successful case studies.
Government Schemes & Compensation: Working with legal consultants to help survivors obtain government victim compensation, assisting with legal documents, and networking with agencies to facilitate access to welfare schemes.{inAds}
