The Examination Section at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has officially released the recruitment notice (Notice No. 103/2026) for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11. This national-level common entrance exam is conducted to recruit Group-B Nursing Officers (Level 07 in the Pay Matrix) across participating AIIMS institutes and premier central government hospitals throughout India. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online starting from July 24, 2026, until August 13, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following criteria from a recognized Institute or University on or before August 13, 2026:
- Option A: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Option B: Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) registered as a Nurse & Midwife, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a 50-bedded hospital (acquired after course completion and registration).
Age Limit (as of August 13, 2026)
- Age Range: 18 to 30 years for all AIIMS institutes.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 to 15 years for PwBD, and standard concessions for Ex-Servicemen and Central Civilian Employees.

- General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 3000/-
- SC / ST / EWS Candidates: Rs. 2400/- (Refunded to SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination)
- Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted

Selection Process & Exam Scheme
The selection process consists of two stages of Computer Based Tests (CBT) followed by Document Verification:
1. Stage-I: NORCET Preliminary (Qualifying Stage)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 100 MCQs (80 Nursing syllabus + 20 General Knowledge & Aptitude)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer
- Structure: 5 sections of 18 minutes each
2. Stage-II: NORCET Mains (Merit Stage)
- Duration: 180 minutes
- Questions: 160 MCQs (Case-scenario-based nursing skill questions)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer
- Structure: 4 sections of 45 minutes each{inAds}
