Eligibility Criteria & Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT).
- You must be of sound physical and mental health, and willing to undergo a medical examination if selected by the institute.
Language Requirements
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have a working knowledge of Khasi, Hindi, and/or Bengali.
Experience
- Prior clinical, field, or laboratory experience is highly valued and will be treated as an asset during the selection process.
Job Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Field Research Assistant, your day-to-day functional and operational duties will involve:
- Sample & Data Collection: Collecting and processing biological samples as well as gathering socio-economic data from community participants.
- Quality & Safety Maintenance: Maintaining strict safety and quality standards for all collected samples and lab equipment.
- Labelling & Storage: Managing proper labelling, safe storage, and routine maintenance of field samples.
- Logistics & Transport: Safely transporting collected samples from the field sites back to the Institute.
- Team Coordination: Maintaining close coordination with both the field team and the on-site laboratory team, including active fieldwork as required.
- Reporting: Documenting a detailed log of your work, providing weekly reports, and assisting your immediate supervisor with regular updates.
