Basic Eligibility Criteria (As of May 1, 2026)

1. Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have completed a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or possess an equivalent standard academic qualification approved by the Central Government.

Special Rule for NATS Registered Applicants: The date of successfully passing the graduation examination must not exceed 4 years prior to the cut-off baseline of May 1, 2026.

Experience Restrictions: Applicants who have previously completed corporate job training or carry active work experience of 1 year or more post-graduation are completely barred from applying.

2. Age Limitations & Relaxations

Minimum Age Bar: 20 Years completed

Maximum Age Bar: 28 Years maximum (Calculated as on May 1, 2026)

Category Age Relaxations: Upper age ceiling relaxations follow regular Government of India directives. This grants an extension of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants, and up to 10–15 years for PwBD profiles, depending on their specific category mapping. Applicants applying via NAPS must be below 34 years of age as of the cut-off date.

Selection Process & Exam Blueprint

The selection metrics for finalizing trainees rely on an objective scoring mechanism paired with linguistic alignment:

Remote Proctored Written Exam: This screening features an online exam containing 100 multiple-choice questions across 60 minutes. Notably, there is no negative marking implemented for wrong inputs. The examination pattern is structured into four sections:

  • General and Financial Awareness (25 Questions / 25 Marks)
  • Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude (25 Questions / 25 Marks)
  • Computer Knowledge (25 Questions / 25 Marks)
  • General English (25 Questions / 25 Marks)

{inAds}Note: Since the exam is remotely proctored, candidates can securely attempt the test from home via a modern laptop, desktop, tablet, or mobile smartphone with a stable internet connection and active front camera.

Document Verification (DV): Provisionally shortlisted candidates must present their original educational passing certificates, identity records, and reservation documents for strict verification.

Regional Language Proficiency Test: Applicants must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking at least one of the recognized regional languages of their applied state. For Meghalaya, the local testing mediums are Khasi, Garo, or English. Providing standard Class 10 or 12 mark sheets proving these languages were formally studied completely waives the language proficiency exam requirement.

Application Handling Fee Rates

The mandatory examination charges required by the BFSI Sector Skill Council are categorized below (excluding supplementary GST percentages):

  • SC / ST / PwBD Applicants: Rs. 200/- plus dynamic GST
  • General / EWS / OBC Male Applicants: Rs. 800/- plus dynamic GST
  • General / EWS / OBC Female & Transgender Applicants: Rs. 600/- plus dynamic GST
