Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

For the Post of Professor:
- Must have served as an Associate Professor in the relevant subject for at least 3 years in a recognized medical institution (or equivalent clinical/teaching experience as a Specialist Medical Officer in the Armed Forces).
- Must have published at least two research publications after becoming an Associate Professor, serving as one of the first three authors.
- Must have successfully completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research from a recognized institute.
- Must undergo the Basic Course in Medical Education (if the broad specialty subject falls under undergraduate training).
- Special Note: Senior Consultants with 3 years of experience as a PG teacher in an NBEMS-recognized Government institute are also eligible.
For the Post of Associate Professor:
- Must have served as an Assistant Professor in the subject for 4 years in a recognized medical institution (or 5 years for those directly appointed as Assistant Professors in Government medical institutions). Armed Forces Specialists require at least 5 years of post-PG clinical experience, including 3 years as an Assistant Professor.
- Must have published at least two research publications after becoming an Assistant Professor, serving as one of the first three authors.
- Must have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research.
- Must undergo the Basic Course in Medical Education within two years of appointment if not done previously.
