Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
Educational Qualifications & Rules
- Candidates must hold an MD, MS, or DNB degree in the concerned subject from a recognized medical institution.
- All eligibility, qualifying degrees, and teaching/clinical experience must adhere strictly to the National Medical Commission (NMC) Teachers Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ) guidelines 2025 and its latest amendments.
- In-service regular government candidates will receive pay as per state government rules, and preference may be given to eligible in-service applicants.
- Retired faculty and doctors from Private Medical Colleges, Institutes of National Importance (INIs), and other Government Medical Colleges are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must possess an updated NMC or State Medical Registration Certificate.
Upper Age Limit & Tenure
- Upper Age Limit: Up to 70 years as of 5th October 2026.
- Maximum Engagement Tenure: 7 years (4+3 years) or until reaching 70 years of age, whichever occurs earlier.
Remuneration & Contract Terms
- Professor: Fixed remuneration of Rs. 3,20,000/- per month.
- Associate Professor: Fixed remuneration of Rs. 2,60,000/- per month.
- The initial contract period is 1 year, extendable up to the maximum permitted tenure.
- Full-time engagement is required, and private practice of any kind (including consultation or laboratory practice) is strictly prohibited.
