IIPH Shillong Recruitment 2026-  The Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong invites online applications for the posts of Project Coordinator, Data and Security Administrator, and Field Research Assistant on a contract basis. 1. Post Name: Project Coordinator

  • No of posts: 1
  • Location: Shillong, Meghalaya
  • Salary: As per norms. 
  • Essential Qualification: 
    • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in public health/social research or related projects, including supervision of field teams and independent handling of project activities.
    • Proficiency in data collection and analysis software/tools such as KOBO, ODK, STATA, R, and ATLAS.ti, NVivo, or similar platforms.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; working knowledge of Hindi and local languages will be an advantage.
  • Desirable
    • Prior experience working with vulnerable or informal sector populations (e.g., street vendors, urban poor, women workers)
    • Experience coordinating qualitative research (FGDs, IDIs, PRA, stakeholder interviews)
    • Familiarity with WaSH, urban health, or gender-focused research projects
    • Experience liaising with local organizations, community groups, or government stakeholders

2. Post Name: Data and Security Administrator

  • No of posts: 1
  • Location: Shillong, Meghalaya
  • Salary: As per norms. 
  • Essential Qualification: 
    • Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/MCA) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university/institute.
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience in data management, analysis, or IT administration.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with health-related projects.
    • Proficiency in REDCap for data capture and management.
    • Strong skills in data mining, data analysis using Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Excel.
    • Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, RDS) for cloud data storage and computing.
    • Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and health informatics standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
    • Expertise in network administration, firewalls, access control, and cybersecurity protocols.
    • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, Indian data protection laws, and security compliance.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of local language (Khasi/Jaintia/Garo) is an asset.

3. Post Name: Field Research Assistant

  • No of posts: 1
  • Location: Shillong, Meghalaya
  • Salary: As per norms. 
  • Essential Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT)
  • Language requirements: Proficiency in English is required. Candidates with working knowledge of Khasi, Hindi, and/or Bengali will be preferred.
  • Experience: Clinical/ Field/Laboratory experience is an asset.
