Detailed Eligibility Criteria & Qualification Requirements
Educational Qualification (Any of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (preferably Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Geomatics, or related disciplines) paired with a Diploma or Certificate in Geoinformatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, or related fields.
- Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing & GIS, Geoinformatics, or Geospatial Science/Technology, preferably with an IT background and programming knowledge.
- M.Sc./M.A. in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, or related disciplines, along with a Diploma/Certificate in GIS, Geoinformatics, or Remote Sensing, and a computer science/IT background.
Essential Requirements & Skills:
- Residence: Candidates must be permanent residents of Meghalaya.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years.
- Equipment: Candidates must possess their own laptop during the training period.
- Software Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Field Willingness: Willingness to travel to remote areas and work across districts/blocks in Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo regions.
Selection Process & Terms of Apprenticeship
- Selection Method: Candidates will be evaluated through a Written Examination followed by an Interaction Round.
- Written Exam Topics: General Knowledge, Aptitude & Reasoning, Psychometric Test, and Subject Matter.
- Attendance & Reporting: Apprentices must maintain 90% attendance and submit a full work report upon completion.
- Posting: Selected candidates will be placed in different districts/blocks across Meghalaya.
- Allowances: TA/DA for official field visits will be provided under MBDA/MBMA policies, but no TA/DA is provided for attending the written test.
