Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications
To participate in the recruitment process, candidates must meet either the Essential Qualifications or possess the desirable qualifications noted below:
Essential Qualifications:
- 1st Class Master’s degree in relevant subject (Microbiology) from a recognized university.
- OR 2nd Class M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in relevant subject (Microbiology) from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Doctorate Degree in relevant subject (Microbiology) from a recognized university.
- Additional Post-doctoral research experience from a recognized institute/university.
- Two years of research experience in the relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification (Candidates with a Ph.D. degree will be treated as having 3 years of experience).
- Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in Virology and Molecular Biology.
- Preference will be given to candidates having research publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
Terms & Conditions of Service
- The appointment is purely on a contractual basis up to 31st March 2027 under the scheme for control of outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics.
- The selected candidate will have no right to claim regular appointment or permanent employee benefits at NEIGRIHMS.
- The candidate may have to work in shift duties and during holidays as required during an epidemic or pandemic.
- The selected candidate must submit an undertaking regarding acceptance of rules and regulations on a judicial stamp paper duly notarized by an authorized notary.
