Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
Mandatory Requirement: Applicants must have qualified for the GATE Examination (Civil Engineering) in any one of the following years: 2024, 2025, or 2026. A valid GATE score is essential for selection.
Age Limit (as on 08.06.2026):
The maximum age limit is 34 years.
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and up to 15 years for PwBD candidates.
Selection Procedure & Placement
The selection process is purely merit-based, relying on the best GATE score obtained in 2024, 2025, or 2026. There is no separate written test or interview mentioned for this direct recruitment.
Selected candidates will undergo a two-year probation period and must sign a Service Bond of Rs. 5 Lakhs valid for two years. Placement is decided through a merit-cum-choice counseling session where candidates can be allocated to specific State Groups, including Group-2, which covers Meghalaya.
