Total Vacancies: 20 Posts (UR-08, EWS-02, OBC-05, SC-03, ST-02).
Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000 to 1,20,000/- (E0 Grade/IDA).
Maximum Age: 30 Years as of the application deadline.
Educational Requirement: Graduate Engineering Degree in Environment with at least 60% marks. Alternatively, candidates may have a Graduation degree (60%) plus a PG Degree, PG Diploma, M.Sc., or M.Tech in Environment Science, Engineering, or Management with at least 60% marks. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates require 55% marks.
Selection Process: May include shortlisting, a written/computer-based test (comprising a Subject Knowledge Test and Executive Aptitude Test), and a personal interview.
Application Fee: Rs. 500 for General, EWS, and OBC categories. SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Female candidates are exempt from the fee.

Eligibility and Age Relaxations
To be eligible, all qualifications must be full-time from recognized Indian institutions. While the upper age limit is 30 years, NTPC provides relaxations in line with government guidelines: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates. Applicants must also meet specific medical standards set by the NTPC Medical Board before final joining.
