Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF Ltd), a premier "Navratna" Government of India Undertaking, is inviting applications for the position of Operator (Chemical) Trainee. Job Nature: The role involves working in rotating shifts, including night shifts, and requires high physical fitness for heavy-duty tasks like lifting equipment and valve operations.
Training Period: Six months of on-the-job training.
Salary (Stipend during training): Consolidated stipend of Rs. 22,000 per month.
Salary (After absorption): Absorbed in Grade II (A6) with a pay scale of Rs. 22,000 – 60,000. The approximate total monthly gross salary at the minimum of the scale is Rs. 47,800.{inAds}
Eligibility Criteria (as of 01.02.2026)
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following qualification sets:
B.Sc. (Chemistry): A full-time regular B.Sc. (Chemistry) degree with Physics as a subject during any of the three years. Additionally, candidates must have passed the NCVT examination in the Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) trade after completing their B.Sc.. A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the last year or average of the last two semesters is required (50% for SC/ST).
Diploma in Chemical Engineering: A full-time regular three-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology AND successful completion of one year of BOAT training under the Apprentice Act. The BOAT training must be completed after passing the diploma. Minimum marks required are 55% in the last year or average of the last two semesters (50% for SC/ST).
Sandwich Diploma: A 4-year or 3.5-year full-time regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology under the Sandwich pattern, which includes required industrial training. Minimum marks required are 55% (50% for SC/ST).
Age Limit:
The upper age limit is calculated as of 01.02.2026:
Unreserved (UR): 30 years.
SC/ST: 35 years.
OBC (NCL): 33 years.
Additional Relaxations: Up to 5 years for Ex-Servicemen and family members of 1984 riot victims.{inAds}
Selection Process
The selection process consists of two primary stages:
Online Test: A computer-based objective test conducted in Mumbai and Nagpur. The test duration is 90 minutes and contains 100 questions (80 on discipline-related topics and 20 on General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Knowledge). There is negative marking for wrong answers.
Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates (in a 1:7 ratio) will be called for a Skill Test based on their online test performance and document scrutiny. The skill test is qualifying in nature and assesses practical job knowledge, safety awareness, and basic computer knowledge.
The final merit list will be prepared based 100% on the marks obtained in the Online Test, provided the candidate qualifies in the Skill Test.

SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen: Exempt from paying the application fee.
