Candidates must satisfy all specific educational and post-qualification experience requirements as outlined below:
1. Assistant Manager (Law)
- Age Limit: Minimum 25 years and Maximum 32 years.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate with a degree in Law or a Law Graduate from a recognized university in India. A 5-year integrated law course may be given preference.
- Mandatory Post-Qualification Experience: Law graduates enrolled as Advocates with the Bar Council who have 02 years of experience as a practicing advocate. Alternatively, 02 years of experience as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks, or a combined 02 years of experience across both fields. Experience gained during internships, teaching, or training will not be counted.{inAds}
2. Deputy Manager (Law)
- Age Limit: Minimum 25 years and Maximum 35 years.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate with a degree in Law or a Law Graduate from a recognized university in India. A 5-year integrated law course may be given preference.
- Mandatory Post-Qualification Experience: Law graduates enrolled as Advocates with the Bar Council who possess 04 years of experience as a practicing advocate. Alternatively, 04 years of experience as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks, or a combined 04 years of experience across both fields. All experience must be gathered strictly after enrolment as an advocate with the Bar Council.

Salary Structure & Pay Scale
Selected specialist cadre officers will receive a regular salary package alongside applicable allowances:
- Assistant Manager (Law) [JMGS-I]: Basic Pay scale of Rs. 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
- Deputy Manager (Law) [MMGS-II]: Basic Pay scale of Rs. 64820-2340/1-67160-2680/10-93960.
- Perquisites and Benefits: Recruited officers are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, National Pension System (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical facilities, and other service benefits governed by SBI rules.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection criteria comprise a combination of an Online Written Examination (70% weightage) and an Interview process (30% weightage).
Online Written Examination Structure
The comprehensive online written test consists of both Objective and Descriptive type sections:
1. Objective Test (Qualifying Sections)
- Test of Reasoning: 25 Questions | 25 Marks | Time allotted: 45 minutes
- English Language: 35 Questions | 35 Marks | Time allotted: 45 minutes{inAds}
- Note: Marks scored in Reasoning and English sections are qualifying in nature and will not be calculated for the final merit ranking. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
2. Objective Test (Merit Section)
- Professional Knowledge: 50 Questions | 50 Marks
