Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
To be considered for these teaching faculty positions, applicants must fulfill the specific criteria and qualifications laid down by Indian Nursing Council (INC) norms:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Principal-cum-Professor: M.Sc. (Nursing) with a minimum of 15 years of total experience, including at least 10 years of teaching experience in a Government Nursing School.
- Vice Principal-cum-Professor: M.Sc. (Nursing) with a minimum of 12 years of total experience, including at least 10 years of teaching experience in a Government Nursing School.
- Professor: M.Sc. (Nursing) with a minimum of 12 years of total experience, including at least 10 years of teaching experience in a Government Nursing School.
- Associate Professor: M.Sc. (Nursing) with a minimum of 8 years of total experience, including at least 5 years of teaching experience in a Government Nursing School.
- Assistant Professor: M.Sc. (Nursing) with at least 3 years of teaching experience in a Government Nursing School.
- Tutor: Must meet either of the following conditions:
- M.Sc. (Nursing), B.Sc. (Nursing), or P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) with 3 years of teaching experience in a Government Nursing School.
- M.Sc. (Nursing) with 5 years of clinical experience in a Government Institute.
- Note: Preference will be given to candidates possessing an M.Sc. in Medical & Surgical Nursing.{inAds}
Mandated Requirements
- Employment Status: The candidate must be a regular Government employee under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya.
- Registration: Candidates must possess a valid registration with the Meghalaya Nursing Council for both primary and additional qualifications.
- NUID Number: A valid NUID number under the National Recruitment-linked Training System (NRTS) is mandatory.
Selection Procedure
The selection process for the DME Meghalaya Nursing Faculty recruitment will be conducted through the following stages:
- Shortlisting & Publication of List: The list of candidates found eligible to appear before the Scrutiny & Interview Committee will be published on the official website.
- Scrutiny & Interview: Shortlisted applicants must appear in person before the Committee at the Office of the Director of Health Services (Medical Education & Research), Health Complex, Red Hill, Laitumkhrah, Shillong-793003. Dates and times will be communicated separately.
- Document Verification: Candidates are required to produce their original documents alongside self-attested copies of certificates (qualification, experience, CNE Diary with certificates, etc.) during the interview.
- Final Declaration: The final list of successful candidates selected for lateral entry will be declared by the Health & Family Welfare Department and published online.
