BRDC Recruitment 2026- The Bio-Resources Development Centre will conduct a Walk-In interview in the office of the Bio-Resources Development Centre, Upper Shillong, w.e.f 11:00 AM onwards on the following dates for the posts mentioned below under the Project entitled “Carbon Sequestration through Afforestation & Bioengineered Plant Systems".
1. Post Name: Research Associate-I (BT2025-01)
- No of posts: 1
- Salary: As per norms
- Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D in Botany/Biotechnology and project management activities
- ‘or’
- MSc. In Botany/Biotechnology with NET and a minimum of 7 years of experience in research-related and project management activities
- Date of Interview: 17th March 2026
2. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow (BT2025-02)
- No of posts: 4
- Salary: As per norms
- Essential Qualification:
- 3 posts reserved for Post Graduate in Forestry/ Botany/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/ Natural Resource Management. Preference will be given to those with experience in Tissue Culture, Nature-based Carbon sequestration project.
- ‘or’
- Post Graduate in Botany/Biotechnology or related subjects with NET.
- 1 Post reserved for Post Graduate in Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Natural Resource Management with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Bamboo Agroforestry with skills in implementing GIS, SaT imaging, etc.
- ‘or’
- Post Graduate in Life Science and related subjects, NET, and specialization in Forest Ecology with additional skills in operating GIS, SaT imaging, etc.

3. Post Name: Programme Associate-I (BT2025-03)
- No of posts: 1
- Salary: As per norms
- Essential Qualification:
- Post Graduate in Botany/Biotechnology and related subjects with a minimum of 1 year of experience in research-related activities
- ‘or’
- Post Graduate in Life Sciences and related subjects with NET
- Date of Interview: 19th March 2026
Age limit
The candidate should not be between 18 and 32 years of age as on 1.01.2026. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 (five) years for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, OBC and PWD candidates. There is no age limit for those who are already in Government service or statutory bodies, etc.
