Essential Qualification: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in conducting baseline environmental surveys, preferably in rural or hilly terrains. Familiarity with field survey instruments and environmental data analysis tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong fieldwork and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in remote areas and in coordination with local communities.
- Good communication skills in English and local languages (Khasi preferred).
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, data entry tools). ○ We are seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing projects and systems that help reduce environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct baseline environmental surveys including air, water, soil quality, and biodiversity assessments in identified project areas.
- Collect, record, and analyze environmental data using standard field methods and tools.
- Work closely with field teams and local communities to ensure accurate and ethical data collection.
- Support in preparing technical reports and documentation based on field findings.
- Assist in identifying environmental risks and potential mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental protocols and health & safety standards during f ieldwork.
- Perform any other tasks as required by the project lead related to environmental assessment.
