Meghalaya Transport Corporation Recruitment 2026- The Meghalaya Transport Corporation invites applications to fill up 25 (Twenty Five) posts of Drivers and 10 (Ten) Caretaker/Attendant on a contractual Basis. Interested male candidates holding a valid professional Driving/Conductor license may apply. The last date for submission of the application is 05th March 2026.
1. Post Name: Driver
- No of posts: 25
- Age limit: Should not be more than 37 years as on 31.03.2026.
- Salary: As per norms
- Essential Qualification: Must have passed Class VIII or higher
- Other Criteria:
- Must have at least two years of experience in driving heavy passenger Vehicles
- Must have basic knowledge of repairing defects.
- Must have thorough knowledge of Traffic rules and Regulations.
2. Post Name: Caretaker/Attendant
- No of posts: 10
- Age limit: Should not be more than 37 years as on 31.03.2026.
- Salary: As per norms
- Essential Qualification: Must have at least 12th Pass or higher
- Other Criteria:
- Must have thorough knowledge of Traffic rules and Regulations
- Must be mentally and physically sound and free from any diseases or ailments that may prevent him from discharging his duties

Application should be submitted in Standard Form with supporting documents along with a Fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) only payable to the Managing Director, Meghalaya Transport Corporation, Head Office, Shillong on or before the 05th March 2026 15:00 Hrs.
Driving Test cum Interview will be held on the 9th and 10th March 2026 at 10:00 a.m at ISBT, Mawiong, Shillong. All candidates should report by 10.00 a.m sharp.
Interview for Conductor will be held on 11th March 2026 at 10.00 a.m at ISBT, Mawiong, Shillong
