1. Technical Specialist - UAV

- Monthly Emolument: Rs. 46,800/- plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other admissible allowances.
- Essential Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Technology, UAV Remote Sensing, Aviation, or Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized institution or related field. A valid UAV/Drone Pilot License from a recognized institute is mandatory to apply.
- Essential Experience Requirement:
- Minimum of 03 years of professional experience in UAV/drone operations, aerial surveying, or closely related fields.
- Proven background in planning and executing comprehensive UAV missions for mapping, structural inspection, or environmental monitoring.
- Hands-on proficiency with specialized flight planning software, GNSS systems, and industry-standard data processing tools like Pix4D, DroneDeploy, or Agisoft.
- Familiarity with DGCA regulations, flight permission protocols, and safety mechanisms within regulated or high-risk operational environments.
- Direct expertise with multi-sensor UAV payloads (such as LiDAR, photogrammetry, RGB, and multispectral) alongside integration with GNSS-based positioning systems for high-precision data acquisition.
- Exposure to integrating drone-derived data sets with complex simulation models, digital twin frameworks, or AI-based analytics platforms for optimization purposes.
- Experience contributing directly to large-scale geospatial initiatives spanning over 100 sq. km or equivalent complex system frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability in designing workflows for closed-loop systems where UAV-acquired field data dynamically updates simulation models.
- Required Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, decision-making, and critical problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills across office productivity suites (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint) and excellent leadership capabilities to motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
2. Technical Specialist - GIS
- Number of Vacancies: 01 (One)
- Monthly Emolument: Rs. 46,800/- plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other admissible allowances.
- Essential Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a related discipline. Candidates possessing an M.Tech degree and specialized IT knowledge will be preferred.
- Essential Experience Requirement:
- At least 05 years of definitive experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, and UAV-related mapping and management activities.
- Extensive use of GIS frameworks for spatial analysis, parcel mapping, advanced cartography, and geodatabase administration using platforms like ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Expertise in processing UAV data, producing orthomosaics, 3D modeling, and generating DEM/DSM products via tools like Pix4Dmapper, Agisoft Metashape, etc.
- Proficiency in processing LiDAR point cloud data, terrain modeling, elevation extraction, and 3D visualization using Global Mapper, ERDAS IMAGINE, or related tools.
- Proven experience in the digitization of cadastral maps, parcel boundary mapping, and seamlessly integrating land records within GIS-based land information networks.
- Competency in GPS/GNSS-based field data acquisition, ground truth verification, and parcel boundary validation.
- Expertise in spatial database management, data validation, and the strategic deployment of geospatial technologies for land administration, property mapping, and regional planning.

General Information & Selection Process
- Selection Methodology: The selection process will feature a written/assignment test followed by a personal interview. The written test will comprise Subject Matter Knowledge, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and English.
- Venue: Both the written test and the personal interviews will be held exclusively in Shillong.
- Communication: Information regarding screening tests, written exams, or interviews will be sent directly via SMS or Email only to shortlisted candidates. The final shortlist will be posted on the official MBDA website.
- NOC Requirement: Candidates currently employed in other services must submit a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from their current employer at the time of the personal interview.
- Internal Staff: Existing staff working under MBDA/MBMA who fulfill the criteria are eligible to apply, provided their applications are routed through their respective reporting officer. Newly appointed staff must complete a minimum of one year in their current position before applying.
- Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test or personal interview rounds.
