Computer Science: 06 vacancies (Includes Computer Sc & Engg, IT, M.Sc Computer Sc).
Electrical: 02 vacancies (Includes Electrical & Electronics).
Electronics: 06 vacancies (Includes Electronics & Communication, Telecommunication).
Mechanical: 06 vacancies (Includes Mechanical, Production, Automobile).
Miscellaneous Streams: 02 vacancies (Includes Plastic Tech, Remote Sensing, Metallurgy, etc.).
Final-year students must be able to produce their engineering degree certificate within 12 weeks from the start of training at IMA.{inAds}
Selection Process
The selection follows a rigorous multi-stage process:
Shortlisting: Applications are shortlisted based on a cut-off percentage of marks in the engineering degree.
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day SSB interview at Selection Centres in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical board examination.
Merit List: Final selection is based on SSB marks, medical fitness, and available vacancies.
Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements before joining the academy:
- 2.4 km Run: 10 minutes 30 seconds.
- Push-ups: 40 repetitions.
- Pull-ups: 06 repetitions.
- Sit-ups: 30 repetitions.
Salary and Benefits
Upon successful commissioning, candidates are ranked as Lieutenant with a pay scale of Level 10 (₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500). The total CTC is approximately ₹17-18 Lacs per annum, excluding free medical cover and other allowances like Dearness Allowance and High Altitude Allowance.{inAds}
