Position-Wise Vacancy, Eligibility, and Salary Details
1. Junior Project Fellows (JPF)
NERIE is recruiting seven (07) Junior Project Fellows for various PAC-coded research projects. The age limit for all JPF positions is below 40 years, with relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms. The monthly remuneration is fixed at Rs. 37,000/- for NET/Ph.D. qualified candidates and Rs. 35,000/- for Non-NET candidates.
- Impact of Social Media on Mental Wellbeing (Arunachal Pradesh) - 1 Post
- Tenure: 10 Months or up to March 31, 2027
- Education: Master's degree in Education, M.Ed., or Psychology with at least 55% marks.
- Desirable: NET/JRF, proficiency in computer applications (DCA/BCA), and knowledge of statistical software like SPSS, R, or SAS.

- Evaluative Study of Classroom Practices in Vidyajyoti Schools (Tripura) - 1 Post
- Tenure: 10 Months or up to March 31, 2027
- Education: Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Statistics from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Understanding of research designs, tool construction, and hands-on experience running descriptive statistics, correlation, T-test, ANOVA, and regression on SPSS/Excel.

- Critical Appraisal of ECCE in Light of NEP 2020 (Mizoram) - 1 Post
- Tenure: 10 Months or up to March 31, 2027
- Education: M.Ed. or M.A. in Education or Sociology, or NET qualification.
- Desirable: B.Ed./Ph.D., MS Office proficiency, data processing, SPSS, and good communication skills in English and Mizo.

- Implementation of NEP 2020 at Preparatory and Middle Stage (Mizoram & Sikkim) - 1 Post

- Education: Post Graduate in any discipline.

- Desirable: B.Ed., M.Ed., NET, Ph.D., basic computer knowledge (MS Office, SPSS), and good communication skills.

- Students' Perceptions and Progression of Historical Thinking - 1 Post
- Tenure: 05 Months from the date of appointment
- Education: MA in History or any subject of Social Science with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC, ST, PH candidates).
- Desirable: Basic computer knowledge, proficiency in MS Office, data processing, and report preparation.

2. Studio Staff Positions
Walk-in interviews for all studio staff positions will take place on June 18, 2026 (from 10:30 AM onwards). The tenure is 10 months or up to March 31, 2027, unless specified otherwise.
- Engineer Grade II - 1 Post
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering specializing in Electronics, Communication, or IT, plus three years of relevant experience in hardware/software/TV & Radio broadcast operations.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 62 years for retired personnel).
- Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- Producer Grade II - 1 Post
- Education & Experience: Degree in Mass Communication, or any Graduate degree with a Diploma in Mass Communication. Requires three years of experience in film or TV production and direction.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 62 years for retired personnel).
- Remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month.
- Production Assistant - 1 Post
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Journalism, or any Bachelor's degree with a Diploma in Mass Communication/Journalism. Requires two years of TV production work experience.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 65 years for retired government employees).
- Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- Cameraman Grade II - 1 Post
- Education & Experience: Graduate in media production/Mass Communication or any discipline with a Diploma covering still photography, videography, cinematography, or film production. Requires three years of practical experience handling motion picture and video cameras.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 65 years for retired individuals).
- Remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month.
- Video Editor - 1 Post
- Education & Experience: PG in Mass Communication and Journalism with 55% marks, OR a Graduate with 55% marks along with a PG Diploma in Video Editing (55% marks). Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 65 years for retired individuals).
- Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- Graphic Designer - 1 Post
- Education & Experience: 4-year Graduation in Fine Arts/Graphic Design/Animation/Applied Arts, OR a Graduate degree in any discipline with a 1-year diploma in Graphics/Animation/Computer Application/Media Production. Requires three years of working experience.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 65 years for retired individuals).
- Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
3. Computer Typist - 3 Posts
- Tenure: 10 months or up to March 31, 2027
- Education & Skills: 12th Pass or Graduate with knowledge of computer applications and typing. Candidate must have a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English and 30 w.p.m. in Hindi or Urdu.
- Desirable: Minimum 1 year of experience in computer typing and proficiency in MS Office.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (Up to 65 years for retired government individuals).
- Remuneration: As per GNCT minimum wages of the respective States/UTs.
- Interview Date: June 19, 2026 (from 10:30 AM onwards)
4. Balvatika Positions
These posts are open under the project "Establishment of Balvatika". The tenure is 10 months or up to March 31, 2027. The interview date for both positions is June 19, 2026 (from 10:30 AM onwards).
- ECCE Teacher - 1 Post
- Education: NTT / D.El.Ed. / Diploma in ECCE/ECE from a recognized institution.
- Desirable: Experience working in a nursery, pre-school, Balvatika, or Anganwadi as an ECCE teacher. Knowledge of Hindi, English, and Khasi, along with computer proficiency, is preferred.
- Age Limit: Not above 30 years.
- Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- per month.
- Lady Helper - 1 Post
- Education: Class 10th pass.
- Desirable: Working experience or knowledge in a nursery, pre-school, Balvatika, or Anganwadi.
- Age Limit: Preferably between 18 to 35 years.
- Remuneration: Rs. 15,000/- per month.{inAds}
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates must closely follow these guidelines to participate in the walk-in recruitment process:
- Reporting Window: Candidates must report directly at NERIE, Shillong, between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on their respective interview dates for registration and document verification. No candidate will be entertained after 10:00 AM.
- Required Documents: Bring a duly filled-up application form (prescribed format) along with self-attested copies of educational testimonials, experience certificates, and one passport-size photograph.
- Verification: Bringing original documents is mandatory for verification on the interview day. Candidates without original certificates will not be allowed to attend the interview.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid for attending the recruitment drive.
- Current Employees: Candidates already employed must produce a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from their current employer during the interview.
- Post-Selection Rules: Selected candidates will receive their appointment offers via email only. They must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate immediately at the time of joining and a Police Verification Report within one month. Paid accommodation at the NERIE Guest House can be requested, subject to room availability.
