The pre-registered recruitment rally is scheduled to take place from August 31, 2026, to September 9, 2026, at designated centers in New Delhi and Bengaluru. Candidates from Meghalaya, Assam, and other North-Eastern states are exempted from entering Aadhaar card details if they do not possess one, making the registration process highly accessible. Eligibility Criteria for IAF Agniveervayu Musician
To participate in the upcoming Indian Air Force Musician Rally, candidates must meet the strict eligibility conditions set by the CASB.
1. Age Limit & Date of Birth Block
- Candidates must be born between January 1, 2005, and July 1, 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- The upper age limit of the candidate as of the date of enrolment must not exceed 22 years.
2. Marital Status & Conditions
- Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
- Candidates must undertake not to marry during the 4-year engagement period. Female candidates must also undertake not to get pregnant during this tenure.
3. Educational Qualifications
- Passed Matriculation / Class 10th or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any recognized Central, State, or UT Government Board.{inAds}
Musical Proficiency & Experience Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate specific musical aptitude and possess valid certification to qualify for the rally.
Music Ability & Instruments
Candidates must be proficient in playing at least one instrument from the following lists (proficiency in playing one from List A and one from List B is highly desirable):
- List A (Wind/Brass Instruments): Concert Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet in Eb/Bb, Saxophone in Eb/Bb, French Horn in F/Bb, Trumpet in Eb/C/Bb, Trombone in Bb/G, Baritone, Euphonium, Bass/Tuba in Eb/Bb.
- List B (Keyboard/String/Percussion): Keyboard/Organ/Piano, Guitar (Acoustic/Lead/Bass), Violin/Viola/String Bass, Percussion/Drums (Acoustic/Electronic), or any Indian Classical Instruments.
- Candidates must have tempo accuracy, pitch accuracy, and be able to sing one complete song. Tuning individual instruments and matching notes is mandatory.
Required Music Experience Certificate
Candidates must possess at least one of the following credentials:
- Grade 5 or equivalent/above from a recognized music institute (like TCL, RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, GMI, Berklee School of Music, etc.).
- Diploma or equivalent in Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognized university.
- Certificate of participation/awards at various music events, with proven capability of playing and blowing instruments using staff notation.
Physical & Medical Standards
The physical and medical standards are strictly enforced during the rally.
- Height (Male): Minimum 162 cm.
- Height (Female): Minimum 152 cm. Note: Candidates belonging to the North East, hilly regions of Uttarakhand, or of North East ethnicity are granted relaxation, with a minimum acceptable height of 147 cm (Domicile certificate is mandatory to claim relaxation).
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Chest Expansion: Minimum chest expansion of 5 cm for both males and females.
- Visual Acuity: 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6. Hypermetropia limit is +2.00 and Myopia is -1.0. LASIK/PRK history is not accepted.
- Body Tattoos: Permanent body tattoos are strictly prohibited, except on the inner face of the forearms, back of the hand, or tribal tattoos conforming to ancestral customs.{inAds}
Selection Process & Syllabus
The selection procedure comprises several rigorous stages at the rally venue:
- Initial Verification: All original certificates (educational, musical, and identity proofs) are verified.
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- PFT-I: 1.6 km run within 7 minutes (males) and 8 minutes (females).
- PFT-II: Consists of Push-ups, Sit-ups, and Squats with distinct time windows for male and female candidates.
- English Written Test: An objective-type OMR-based test comprising 30 questions based on the Matriculation CBSE syllabus (Duration: 30 minutes). There is no negative marking.
- Music Proficiency Test (MPT): Playing musical instruments individually or in a group.
- Medical Examination: Conducted in September 2026 for those who clear the MPT.
Salary and Terminal Benefits (Seva Nidhi Package)
Enrolled Agniveervayu will serve for a period of four years. The customized monthly salary package is structured as follows:
- 1st Year: Rs. 30,000/- (In-hand: Rs. 21,000/-; Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 9,000/-)
- 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000/- (In-hand: Rs. 23,100/-; Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 9,900/-)
- 3rd Year: Rs. 36,500/- (In-hand: Rs. 25,550/-; Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 10,950/-)
- 4th Year: Rs. 40,000/- (In-hand: Rs. 28,000/-; Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 12,000/-)
- Exit Benefit: On completion of 4 years, candidates receive approximately Rs. 10.04 Lakhs as the Seva Nidhi Package (which includes matched contributions from the Government of India, excluding interest accrued).
- Life Insurance: Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs for the entire duration of engagement.

- Complete Step I Registration by entering personal details and verifying your mobile number and email ID using OTPs.
- Log in using your system-generated credentials and fill out Step-II (Educational details, choice of rally venue, etc.).
- Upload the required documents:
- Recent passport-size photo (taken holding a black slate across the chest with your name and date of photo written in white chalk).
- Scanned copy of the candidate's signature.
- Left-hand thumb impression.
- Live webcam image capture (facial matching process).
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100/- + 18% GST using UPI, Net Banking, or Card.
- Submit the form and take a clear color printout of the application form and provisional admit card when issued.
