Eligibility Criteria
- Residential Requirement: Candidates must be indigenous inhabitants or Permanent Residents of Meghalaya. A Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority (Deputy Commissioner) of the respective place of residence must be submitted during online application.
- Academic Qualifications:
- For BMLT/BMLS, BASLP, BMRIT, BPT, and BND: Must have passed 10+2 level examination from a recognized Board/University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- For B.Pharm, D.Pharm, and B.Optom: Must have passed 10+2 level examination from a recognized Board/University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English.
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must complete a minimum age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2026.
- The upper age limit is 25 years as of 31st December 2026.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST, SC, and OST candidates of Meghalaya.
- Medical Fitness: Applicants must be medically fit.
Important Selection & Admission Conditions
- Candidates must clearly state their order of preference for different courses in the application. If a preference is not indicated for a course, it will be treated as not opted. Course preferences cannot be changed once submitted.
- The selection of medically fit eligible candidates will be made purely on a merit basis and according to the Reservation Policy of the State Government.
- The list of candidates eligible for screening will be published on the official website, and screening dates will be notified later.
- Final selected candidates' lists will be displayed on the notice boards of DME Pasteur Hills, Shillong, the Office of the DM&HO, Tura, West Garo Hills, the official website, and local daily newspapers in Shillong and Tura.
- No individual selection letters will be sent to candidates. Selected applicants must report immediately to the DME Office to collect their nomination letters. Failure to report on time will lead to automatic cancellation of candidature, and the seat will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.
- Recurring fees and admission terms prescribed by the nominated allied institutions must be borne directly by the student.
- Government quota seat admission does not guarantee state government employment upon completion of studies.
