The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department of State Bank of India is filling a total of 35 Specialist Cadre Officer vacancies across two grade scales: Trade Finance Officer - IBG (JMGS-I) and Trade Finance Officer - IBG (MMGS-II).


Key Details of Vacancies & Age Criteria

  • Trade Finance Officer - IBG (JMGS-I): 14 total vacancies (UR: 7, EWS: 1, OBC: 3, SC: 1, ST: 2, PwBD-VI: 1). The age requirement as on July 31, 2026, is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years.
  • Trade Finance Officer - IBG (MMGS-II): 21 total vacancies (UR: 10, EWS: 2, OBC: 5, SC: 1, ST: 3, PwBD-VI: 1). The age requirement as on July 31, 2026, is a minimum of 23 years and a maximum of 32 years.
  • Upper age relaxations apply as per Government of India guidelines: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 to 15 years for PwBD candidates depending on category.

Educational Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Educational Qualification (Common for both posts): Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university and mandatory Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF dated on or before July 31, 2026. Additional preferred certifications include CDCS (LIBF), CSDG (LIBF), CTFP (ICC Academy), GTC (ICC Academy), CITF (LIBF), or Certificate in International Trade Finance (IIBF).
  • Experience for JMGS-I: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations in an Officer/Official role at any scheduled commercial bank (preferably in a maker role).
  • Experience for MMGS-II: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing in an Officer/Official role at any scheduled commercial bank.


Pay Scale & Remuneration

  • JMGS-I Scale: Pay scale of ₹48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
  • MMGS-II Scale: Pay scale of ₹64820-2340/1-67160-2680/10-93960.
  • Selected officers receive DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, and other perquisites as per bank rules. The initial probation period for both scales is 6 months.


Selection Process & Application Fees

  • Selection will be conducted through Shortlisting and Interview. A shortlisting committee will evaluate applications, and shortlisted candidates will be called for a 100-mark interview. The final merit list will be prepared based solely on interview scores.
  • Suggested primary posting locations are Hyderabad and Kolkata, though selected candidates are liable for transfer anywhere in India.
  • Application Fee & Intimation Charges: ₹750 for General, EWS, and OBC candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are fully exempt from fee payment.
