Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualification

Junior Engineer (Electrical): Full-time Regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a State Technical Board or recognized institute.
- For UR Candidates: Minimum 70% Marks
- For SC/ST Candidates: Pass Marks
Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Full-time Regular Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering from a State Technical Board or recognized institute.
- For UR / EWS Candidates: Minimum 70% Marks
- For ST Candidates: Pass Marks

Note: Courses must be approved by BTE/State Technical Education Board. Distance learning diploma courses are strictly not eligible.

Upper Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026)

UR / EWS Candidates: Maximum 30 Years
ST / SC Candidates: Maximum 35 Years (Includes 5 years age relaxation)
Ex-Servicemen Candidates: Additional 10 years relaxation over and above the upper age limit{inAds}

Training, Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will undergo training for 2 years across identified NEEPCO sites.

Pay Scale: IDA Pay Scale of ₹29,300 – 3% – ₹1,19,700/-
Monthly Emoluments: Basic Pay (₹29,300) + DA + HRA + Cafeteria Allowance (35%) + Location Based Allowance (10%) + PF Contribution (12%) + Superannuation Scheme/NEDCSS (9%)
Additional Benefits: Leave, Medical Coverage (self, spouse, 2 children, dependent parents), Performance Related Pay (PRP), Gratuity, Uniform, Furniture & Communication reimbursements
Approximate CTC: ₹59,000 per month

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection will be conducted purely through a Written Test of 2 Hours duration. No skill test will be conducted.

Part A - Aptitude Test (60 Questions): General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning
Part B - Technical Test (40 Questions): Objective questions covering the respective engineering discipline
Marking Scheme: 1 mark per correct answer; 0.25 negative marks for every wrong answer
Qualifying Marks:
- 40% marks for UR / EWS
- 30% marks for SC / ST

Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates must sign a service agreement bond to serve NEEPCO for at least 3 years after completing 2 years of training:

UR / EWS Category: ₹1,00,000/- + GST
SC / ST / PwBD Category: ₹50,000/- + GST
