RBI Grade B Recruitment Key Details
Recruiting Body: Reserve Bank of India Services Board (RBISB).
Posts Available: Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - General, DEPR, and DSIM.

Application Window: April 29, 2026, to May 20, 2026 (6:00 PM).
Selection Process: Phase I Online Exam, Phase II Written/Online Exam, and Interview.
Job Location: Anywhere in India.
Probation Period: Two years (extendable up to four years).
Educational Qualifications (As on April 01, 2026)
The RBI has set specific academic standards for each cadre. Candidates must ensure they meet the following criteria:
1. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - General
Graduation: Must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline (minimum 3 years duration) with at least 60% marks.
Post-Graduation: Alternatively, a Master's degree in any discipline (minimum 2 years duration) with at least 55% marks.
Relaxation: For SC/ST/PwBD applicants, the requirement is 50% for Graduation or pass marks for Post-Graduation, provided the posts are reserved for them.
Technical/Professional Degrees: Equivalent technical or professional qualifications recognized by the Government are also accepted.
2. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR
Essential: A Master's Degree (MA/MSc) with a minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in Economics or related courses.
Core Subjects: Economics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Development Economics, or International Economics.
Finance Alternative: A Master's Degree in Finance or courses like Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, International Finance, Corporate Finance, or Banking and Trade Finance is also eligible.
Principal Constituent Rule: For both Economics and Finance streams, half or more of the total courses must be in the respective field.
Desirable: A Doctorate degree in Economics, research/teaching experience, or publications in standard journals.
3. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM
Option A: Master's Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Applied Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Econometrics, or Informatics.
Option B: Master's Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Big Data Analytics.
Option C: A four-year Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in any of the above-mentioned specialized fields.
Desirable: Candidates with a Doctorate in these topics or relevant research/teaching experience will be given preference.
