Job Description & Mission
Rocket Learning works closely with central and state governments to impact over 3.5 million children. As a State Academic Expert, you will be at the forefront of catalyzing early childhood education and community engagement across Meghalaya.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development: Designing high-quality curriculum aligned with national standards for children aged 0-3 and 3-6.
Content Creation: Leading the creation of training materials, including ideation, scripting, and shooting video footage for ECCE.
Quality Management: Overseeing translation, dubbing, and production of educational content in local languages (Khasi/Garo).
Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials and external partners.
Field Testing: Conducting user-testing for videos, games, and worksheets to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum.
Training & Mentorship: Facilitating online and in-person training sessions for teachers and parents.
Field Visits: Traveling within the state to observe training quality and provide on-ground support.
Eligibility Criteria (Critical Factors for Success)
Educational Background: A Degree or Certification in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Child Psychology, Teacher Training, or Social Work.
Experience: 8 to 10 years of professional experience in education, specifically in curriculum development or teacher training programs.
Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in Khasi, Garo, and English. Working knowledge of Hindi is required.
Technical Skills: Comfortable with digital instructional tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and presenting in front of a camera.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, young organization and work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.
