This massive nationwide recruitment drive offers a total of 7,150 training seats across various states and Union Territories in India. Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As of April 1, 2026)
Candidates must be between 20 years and 28 years of age. Applicants should have been born not earlier than April 2, 1998, and not later than April 1, 2006 (both days inclusive). The upper age limit relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD categories as per the official Government of India directives.
2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree (Graduation) in any stream/discipline from a recognized University or Institute as of the benchmarking date. There is no minimum percentage requirement to apply.
3. Local Language Proficiency
Applicants must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding at least one of the specified local languages of their chosen state. Candidates who can produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet proving they studied the local language will be exempted from the language test. All other candidates must clear a structured Test of Local Language during the final selection process.
Stipend and Benefits
Duration: The apprentice training is strictly for a period of 1 year.
Stipend Structure: The selected apprentices are eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000/- throughout the 1-year engagement period.
Other Benefits: The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances, medical benefits, or perks. This engagement is strictly an apprenticeship training program and does not represent regular employment, a promise of a permanent job, or a contract job in the bank.
Weightage and Relaxation in Recruitment of Junior Associates
Completing this program provides a significant career advantage for candidates aiming for regular banking roles. Apprentices who successfully complete their 1-year training at SBI will be given specified weightage and relaxations during the regular recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in State Bank of India, subject to meeting the required benchmark criteria outlined during those recruitment drives.{inAds}
Selection Process
The selection process is direct and does not feature a personal interview round. It comprises the following distinct evaluation stages:
1. Online Written Examination
An objective type online test with 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The total duration is 60 minutes, with a separate 15-minute time limit for each of the four sections:
General/Financial Awareness: 25 Questions (25 Marks) - 15 Minutes
General English: 25 Questions (25 Marks) - 15 Minutes
Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions (25 Marks) - 15 Minutes
Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 25 Questions (25 Marks) - 15 Minutes
A negative marking of 1/4th of the assigned marks applies for each incorrect answer. The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 distinct regional languages based on the state selected.
2. Test of Local Language
Candidates applying for a specific state must be proficient in the designated local language. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard certificates/mark sheets proving they studied the specified local language will not be required to undergo the language test. For others, a language proficiency test will be conducted after qualifying the online written exam, before final medical evaluations.
3. Medical Examination
Final selection is subject to qualifying the specified local language test, verification of original eligibility documents, and being declared medically fit according to the bank's medical standards.
Fees and Intimation Charges
Application fees and intimation charges must be paid online through the integrated payment gateway. The fee details are as follows:
General / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only)
SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: Nil / Exempted (No fee required)
Note: The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable and cannot be reserved for any future examination or selection process.
