Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications
To be eligible for the NIT Meghalaya JRF Recruitment 2026, applicants must fulfill one of the following educational paths:
- Option 1: M.Tech. or M.E. degree in VLSI, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Devices, AI-ML, or closely related technical disciplines. Candidates must possess practical experience with semiconductor devices and AI-ML tools.
- Option 2: M.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline along with a valid GATE or NET qualification.
- Option 3: B.Tech. or B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or related engineering fields with a valid GATE score.
Preferred Technical Skills
Candidates who display strong proficiency or experience in the following domains will be given preference during the selection process:
- Sound knowledge of semiconductor devices and hardware accelerators or in-memory computing.
- Active programming skills using Python or MATLAB.
- Direct experience working with machine learning architectures, data analysis, optimization, or model development using PyTorch.
- Familiarity with AI-ML and EDA software tools.
