Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

1. Graduate Engineer (Grade A)

Qualification: Full-time regular B.Tech / B.E. / Equivalent degree in relevant disciplines from AICTE/UGC recognized institutes.
Minimum Marks: Minimum 65% aggregate marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates; minimum 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Age Limit: Maximum 26 years as of July 1, 2026.

2. Officer - Marketing (Grade A)

Qualification: 2-year full-time regular MBA / PGDBA with specialization in Marketing Management.
Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL); 55% for SC/ST/PwBD.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of July 1, 2026.

3. Officer - Law (Grade A)

Qualification: Graduate Degree in any discipline + LLB Degree OR 5 years Integrated LLB Degree recognized by Bar Council of India.
Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years cumulative post-qualification experience as of June 30, 2026 in legal practice, law firms, corporate legal roles, or government departments.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as of July 1, 2026.

4. Assistant Quality Control Officer (Grade A0)

Qualification: Full-time Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry / Inorganic / Organic / Analytical / Physical / Applied / Industrial Chemistry.
Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL); 55% for SC/ST/PwBD.
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years cumulative post-qualification experience in Testing/R&D/Quality Control in Petroleum/Petrochemical/Polymer/Fertilizer laboratories or NABL accredited testing laboratories.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as of July 1, 2026.

5. Diploma Engineer (Grade E0)

Qualification: 3-year full-time Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Safety Engineering. Safety post requires an additional 1-year Diploma in Industrial Safety. Candidates with higher professional degrees (B.E., B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA) are NOT eligible.
Minimum Marks: Minimum 65% aggregate marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL); 55% for SC/ST.

Salary Scale & Remuneration

IOCL provides comprehensive compensation packages including Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, HRA, Medical Facilities, Superannuation Benefits, and Performance Related Pay (PRP):

Grade A: Pay Scale ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 | Initial Basic: ₹50,000/- per month | Approximate CTC: ₹18.4 Lakhs per annum

Step 1: Registration

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection methodology consists of a multi-stage evaluation process:

Computer-Based Test (CBT): 100 objective multiple-choice questions totaling 150 minutes.
- Section A: General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude: 20, Logical Reasoning: 15, Verbal Ability: 15) – 60 Minutes
- Section B: Domain Knowledge (50 Questions) – 90 Minutes
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark per correct answer; 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers
Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT): Shortlisted candidates from CBT appear for GD/GT (5% weightage).
